GO and Racefactor also offers a contingency program for club and large events where racers using the GO Engines can win money or discounts on a new engine. See their site at www.racefactorindustries.com for details.

The Arena

Thu Oct 16, 2008 5:55PM

For those that didn't make it to the Finals last year here is a short video of practice last year. The question I keep getting is what tires? What sold best in the hobby shop at this event was Holeshots & Bowties or an equivalant. The report was the Crimefighters pins loaded up because of the moist loam. Yes the track will be watered every night which will keep it moist all day the next day. The only possible change on track prep this year will be more compacting on build day.

Thanks to Griz for this video from 2007.

2008 Championship Watch

Wed Oct 15, 2008 1:01PM

As most everyone knows since 2006 RC Pro has given watches to the overall champions in each class at the Finals. Each year we try to do a little something different on the design so all the years don't look the same. Here is this years watch.

Entry Updates

Sat Oct 11, 2008 2:22PM

Everyone likes to see new info on this site as often as possible and so do I but the problem with that is it pushes info off the front page quickly. So I'll post this info again for those who may have missed it.

ALL divisions except the West are open for alternates. The West is finishing today and will be opened tomorrow for entries.
To enter as an alternate you have to have aran in atleast one division race in either Canada, the Caribbean or US this year. We are approaching 300 entries now. Entries MUST be in and paid by November 1st. If you want an event shirt with your entry you must pay by October 20th. Please make sure you list your shirt size on RC Signup or we will guess at your size!

Nitro Offroad West Round 3

Fri Sep 26, 2008 12:31PM

Since we had to postpone the round 1 of the West earlier in the year we have been trying to reschedule it into an already overloaded schedule. We have had problems finding a track that had an open date to host this race in Northern California because of that the race has been moved to Southern California. Dana with Revelation has found a recently opened date due to a cancellation of another race in that area so Revelation will be hosting round 3 on October 11th. For more info go to www.revrace.com later today he should have the schedule and flier posted. Sorry for the problems with getting this race reset. This is nothing unusual when trying to find open dates on the westcoast.

International Finals Info

Mon Sep 22, 2008 5:08PM

I visited the arena today to just have a look and pickup several things. The chutes that were at the right side of the track last year are gone! Also part of the chutes at the left side are also gone. This actually gives us the full 260ft of the arena to work on layout. LOL

MORE INFO POSTED!

SPECTATORS GET IN FREE! The last 2 years we charged for spectators but this year it's free. Spectators won't be allowed in the pit area unless they are RC Pro members.

There is a link in the left menu for more info on the Finals this year.

For those that weren't there last year.
Tire selection
The track will be watered and repaired nightly. Since the track is covered the moisture stays in the track most of the day. The tires didn't show much if any wear last year. Almost any tire hooked up according to the drivers I talked to. The track does rut out during the day but no jagged edge holes. It's basically MX dirt!

There WILL be a 200ft straightaway 20-25ft wide! Everything else will be technical. Lanes will be 15ft minimum. Features will be drop ins, rollers, table tops, rythm sections (double-doubles etc.) and NO the big jump we had last year won't be there! The layout will be completely different except for the straight.
