RC Pro Northeast Round 3
Wed Sep 1, 2010 3:16PM
I'm sure most of you in the northeast have been watching the weather forecast for this weekend?
I have made the decision with the information available from the the national weather service and looking at the forecasted path of the hurricane it would be best to postpone the race at Chaplin, CT. I'm sure even if this hurricane doesn't hit Conn. everyone in the NE will be more concerned with their homes and family safety and that should take priority over an rc race.
We are working with the track to set a new date and will announce that date next week once we look at current schedules in the NE to try and pick an open weekend. The make up date will be later in the month and you will have several weeks to make plans.
Bodies
Thu Apr 8, 2010 12:24PM
I felt after numerous calls, emails and pm's I should post this so maybe my phone can get a rest.
RC Pro IS allowing the new buggy bodies like the Bulldog from Proline and Punisher from JConcepts!
We would rather not get into regulating bodies now since the bodies haven't really resembled anything full scale in years.
I will be honest I'm not a fan of the new body styles which remind me of an El Camino but thats just my personal preference and doesn't figure into any of our rules.
Passing of a friend to all.
Mon Mar 8, 2010 3:09PM
Please bear with me as I have written this several times so far.
Many have followed this on Rctech but many may not know.
This past weekend Leighton Dillard collapsed on the drivers stand at the PNB3 from a massive heart attack. When he collapsed he was doing what he wanted to do, race with some of the best in the country.
I've known Leighton for a number of years as he has traveled to numerous RC Pro events. He was so happy last year to get an RC Pro event at the Trackseekers facility in Flowood MS. He along with numerous others put a lot of time and work into the track in hopes of getting some of the fastest racers to come race there. I will be at the Flowood event again this year and I know Leighton will be there in spirit.
Rest well Leighton you will be missed.
Please keep his family in your prayers.
When we get information on funeral services we will post them.

NCCS Standings
Sat Dec 12, 2009 6:55PM

The final NCCS events have been ran and all results are in.
As I think most have noticed the results show all 6 rounds of points. Bobby has been working on the site to get it to only use the best 4 but is having problems with that but has gotten it so I can download the points in spreadsheet for so I can sort them by hand now.
When I posted this on the 12th I thought all results were in but Moncks Corner was rained out on their last race and rescheduled on the 20th. They have ran their last race now but they are having issues uploading the results so we have to get those in to sort it out.
Sorry for the delay we just want to get this right in the 1st year with this series and 1st year with designing that website to calculate the points.
This is the corrected top 20. The best 4 races out of 6 are counted for each person that raced. There was one tie and the tie breaker is to the side of those two racers.

10th Anniversary
Tue Dec 1, 2009 6:21AM
2010 will mark the 10th year of RC Pro Series. A lot has changed since 2001 when Frosty St. Clair, Mike Battaile and Richard Saxton started the Pro Series with 4 Nitro Offroad events.
We have expanded to include 28 National Series events in the US, 17 in Canada, a series in the Caribbean, a series in South Africa, one race each in South Korea and Australia. Add to that the State Series events in 13 states last year plus race management of the TORC RC events. An attempt at a Dirt Oval Series, Onroad Nitro Series and Electric Offroad Series.
This year we need to move our International Finals from it's annual date ahead 2 weeks because currently the IFMAR Worlds is on our annual date. The new date this year will be Halloween weekend.

2009 Shirts
Sun Nov 22, 2009 5:03PM
It's time to clear the left over shirts from this year. That means divisions shirts and some of the Finals shirts. They have been listed on the RC Pro Products shop site. http://shop.rcproproducts.com/category.sc;jsessionid=31A85379E173ACF92AC96502E2FF371C.qscstrfrnt04?categoryId=19
They have free shipping until they are gone. Each color has various sizes available and they will be deleted as the different sizes sell out.
Those of you that were at the Finals saw some of the new design shirts we had as well as the hats. As soona s I have the inventory on them they will be posted on the shop site as well.
Divisions shirts in Ash, Navy, Charcoal and Brown.

Starting November 2nd and ending yesterday were 7 rediculous days!
I would like to thank the crew that helped this year, many returning from the past 2 years.
Dwayne (Dude) Lindler, Larry Thomason, DJ Lindler and Ross Carter. These guys were there on Monday to start track build and every day afterward for maintenance and anything else that was needed plus stayed on Sunday as long as possible to help tear down. Every year this event means atleast 6 - 20 hour days. It's a tough schedule and they keep coming back every year.
A special thanks to Mr. Allison who was on track for all maintenance every year since 2007!
Curt Bacon, Roy Carter, Ron Anderson, Orlando Lebron, Bobby Bell and anyone else who helped during the week.
The announce crew Paul Gaertner our lead announcer this was his 3rd year at the finals. Mike Westbrook great job as well. This was his 1st time in the booth for this event.
My wife for dealing with everything I threw at her during the week plus dealing with the racers. She doesn't get paid for this and uses her vacation time every year for this event. She deals with me spending 16 hours a day with RC Pro and never taking time to do anything else plus trying to figure out how to pay bills all year. I couldn't do it without her!
Thanks to the Sponsors this year. Xtreme RC Magazine, VP Pro USA, Caster Racing, Alpha RC USA, Traxxas, Castle Creations, Streamline Grafix, Jab Grafix, TNT-FX and RC Signup.
Thanks to the racers who supported the series this year. I know this was a tough year financially for everyone and I appreciate you coming out to race at the RC Pro events.
Again Thanks to everyone!
Carlton

2009 International Finals Updates
Mon Nov 9, 2009 3:09PM
We finished up about 10pm Saturday night and finally made it back to the hotel around 3am. Back at the arena on Sunday for teardown and finally home about 10pm last night. Needless to say Mary and I were out soon after. I'm working on posting results now and should have them all done later today/tonight.
This year the racing was outstanding in ALL classes! Each main very closely contested and changing almost lap to lap.
We did have Live RC up for most of the event. Saturday the main computer Live RC was on developed a problem so we had to revert to the backup computer for I think 3 races while we fixed the main computer. The last 2 mains were back on the main computer. I did notice numerous times the scoring system said it could not write the xtml during a race but until we had to change computers no one mentioned Live RC being down. Hopefully most of the races were working right because they were some of the best races I've seen all year.
Congradulations to all the Champions.

Live RC
Fri Oct 30, 2009 2:02PM
WILL WE HAVE LIVE RC FOR THE FINALS?
I don't know! So far we have tried cell cards in 2007 and the connection was so bad we just gave up. Last year we thought the wireless router in the arena would work but when the DSM radios were turned on it went nuts so that didn't work.
The router is over 300ft from the announce booth which I'm told is over the limit for running a rie to connect but I'm still trying to find out about that. So anyone coming to the race if you have an idea that might help let me know. Clear wireless isn't available in the area so that won't work either.

Here is the lis as of this morning. We are working up the schedule to post later tonight and I will post the heats for next Thursday & Friday probably tomorrow. Practice on Tuesday will be semi-controlled (15 drivers at a time for 10 minutes by class). Wednesday is planned to be practice heats but that depends on how many actually are there we may do semi controlled again.
