Gone to the Track!
Mon Nov 3, 2008 1:10AM
I leave at 6:30 am for the track if you have a question I'll try to get online some time tomorrow but don't count on it. I figure I have atleast 12 hours on a tractor ahead of me.
See you at the track.
RV Spots
Sat Nov 1, 2008 3:10PM
If you will be coming sunday night. The front gate will be dummy locked please close the gate behind you when you come in. Pull up to the RV shed if you need hookups. The 1st 5 spots will have power for tomorrow night. That should cover anyone who shows up early. Please leave the 1st 2 spots open for our announcer and one of our track guys!!! I won't be there and the arena personnel won't either. Do NOT park up at the building those spaces are for the arenas customers who are leasing stalls, they need access to their stalls.
I'll be there at 8am monday.
Things to Bring
Sat Nov 1, 2008 3:05PM
Evryone usually has an extenion cord but I'll mention it anyway. A minimum of 25 ft a longer one probably wouldn't hurt. It depends on what stall you get assigned as to how for the plug will be.
Also we will have a better FM system than last year so bring an fm radio for announcements outside and in the pits. I think what we have coming will reach outide this year.
Pit Stalls & Entries
Thu Oct 30, 2008 3:09PM
I need to update the entry list maybe I can get a breather on calls tonight so I can do it. We are up to about 340 entries now. I have marked people paid on the list here that have paid since that list was posted but there are some new entries not on the lists yet.
Entries close on the 1st!!!!!!!! If your not entered and paid by then sorry! We have announced it since we opened entries. We WILL NOT be taking entries at the event!
If you are renting a pit stall for the week PLEASE BRING A LOCK. All the stalls are currently locked and keyed to the same key so we do not hand out keys. Once you check in and get your stall number we will open the stall and you can put your lock on it so your in control of when it's locked and unlocked. Otherwise you may have to wait for us to open them in the mornings.
Power. There are 4 plex boxes on top of some stalls (not every one) you will need atleast a 25ft cord maybe more. They did upgrade the power in the stall area since last year but there will be NO COMPRESSORS in the stalls. If you bring a compressor we will set it up in a central location where the load can be handled. We will have a small compresor setup for anyone to use.
Slash Demo Class
Tue Oct 28, 2008 4:50PM
I was informed today there has been a conversation on atleast one forum about 6 cell or 7 cell in the Slash class. Well let me explain why I have 6 cell listed.
When we put this demo class together the majority of tracks in the area of the Finals were using the 6 cell & 2 cell Lipo rule so we used those rules to be consistant with what everyone was already getting used to. So far I have had one person ask about 7 cell in the demo class. The issue is the race is so close I don't want to change what everyone has already planned for now. If you already have a 7 cell pack bring it with you I would like to see how it does in practice for future reference.
I've always been open to suggestions on rules or rule changes. Feel free to email me any ideas. For me to know what the racers want the racers have to tell me. I do not frequent forums there is just not enough time in a day for me to keep up with them and get everything else done that has to get done each day. I have had little to no input on this class so far, a lot of interest in running it but no real input otherwise.
There are several reasons for the Slash demo at the finals this year. 1) Help one of our sponsors promote product. 2) We are looking at developing a class in RC Pro for the Slash and we want to see a large group run to get a better idea for rules etc.
The rules we have for the demo are a start. This doesn't mean these will be the exact rules we settle on.

Tables and Chairs
Wed Oct 22, 2008 7:15PM
It seems there was some misunderstanding about the tables and chairs for the Finals.
We WILL have tables and chairs. I asked that some of the Texas guys who are driving in if they have room bring their normal pit table and chairs (or atleast chairs) because last year we ran short and had to do some juggling. The tables we are supplying will have to be shared ( 2 racers per 8 ft table). I have trouble finding enough tables to rent for this event so there won't be enough for each person to have their own table since we currently have almost 320 entries.
thanks for the help on this in advance.
Wide Tires
Wed Oct 22, 2008 2:18PM
As we all know several companies have released wider tires for buggy this year. Right now we know of VP Pro and Proline.
After much consideration we have decided to allow the wider buggy tires for the International Finals.
Hmmm funny how there was only one negative feedback on this until I posted to allow them. I do take the racer feedback into account on rules changes positive and negative but you have to actually let me know what you think when something like this comes along in the industry.
I honestly don't see a wider tire working on this track. Especially when your only talking 4.6mm.
Welcome A New Sponsor
Wed Oct 22, 2008 1:21PM
We have a new sponsor joining RC Pro. Welcome JAB Graphix. Their website isn't quite done yet but should be finished soon.

Wed Oct 22, 2008 12:35PM
9 days left to enter or pay if you are entered. As was announced numerous times and noted on each of the signup pages. We will not be accepting entries at the event. Entries must be paid by November 1st to be able to race at this years Finals. Right now we have 315 entries. I know of another dozen racers planning to signup possibly more.
Speed Threadz
Mon Oct 20, 2008 3:42AM
It was announced several weeks ago that Speed Threadz would be offering signature shirts for select rc racers. The following designs will be available at the RC Pro International Finals. We are trying to get an idea of which designs everyone would be interested in so we have an idea of how many and what sizes to have sent for the finals.
If your interested in one or more of the shirts please email speedthreadz@gmail.com with your size an what design you would like. The price is $20 per shirt but if you are an RC Pro member you will get $3 off each shirt.

Skinny. Yes that's right our favorite magazine editor has his own shirt design plus he will be at the race!
