SHRINER'S CHILDRENS HOSPITAL

Sun Jul 23, 2006 2:14PM

On Thursday the 20th 2 Cool Racing and RC Pro took a collection of 1/18 vehicles to the hospital to show the kids about RC and have some fun. Skinny from Xtreme RC Magazine made arrangements to come in to catch this event. Horizon Hobbies and Hobbico provided the Mini T's and Vendettas for the kids. Also RC Driver and Xtreme RC supplied magazines for the kids. When we would walk up and hand one of the kids a radio they would light up! It was great! They put those cars through a serious test session! We spent most of the afternoon swapping batteries but none of the cars broke. The kids and staff all had a ball and we will be back to do it again. The cars were all left at the hospital so they can use them in the future.

I'd like to thank all the people and companies that participated in this event.

SHREK AND DONKEY TOUR 2006

Sun Jul 23, 2006 2:02PM

This past week I have been playing host to Skinny from Xtreme RC Magazine. We have been doing a tour of Texas hobby shops and race tracks. So far we have been to Austin, Houston, Waco and Dallas. Tomorrow we will head to San Antonio. Look for an article in an upcoming issue on our adventures.

UPDATES AND SUCH!

Sun Jul 23, 2006 1:58PM

I have several updates that need to be posted but to keep from doing all of this twice, once on the old site and then again here, I'm trying to move all of it onto the new site. I will be able to make more of the new site live by the end of the week and hopefully have all of those updates done before I have to start traveling to the races again in August.

Thanks for your patience.
Carlton

RC Pro Memberships

Thu Jul 13, 2006 11:08AM

I've been asked since I took over RC Pro "how do I join?". I have always been against a membership unless it is worth something to the members. In the last 6 months I have talked to various retailers and magazines about offering discounts to members if we did a membership. I've had very good response to this and foresee developing a nice list of companies that will do this. The reason for the interest from these companies is the support RC Pro gets from the racers.

So what do I get for my money?
Each member will get a logo sticker sheet for the series you race in, a plastic credit card style membership card and discounts on upcoming RC Pro apparel.

PLUS!
I have been working with various companies to get discounts for our members. The list will continue to grow after we introduce the membership. I want the members to get something for thier money. We have several companies listed right now on the membership info page and will be adding more before the week is over. I'm also working with car rental companies and hotels to get special rates for the members.

If you own a business that would like to get involved in this program please contact RC Pro at rcproseries@gmail.com
