NITRO OFFROAD ENTRIES

The East is open for alternate entries. The West opens for alternates in 5 days.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE IN BEFORE NOVEMBER 1ST!

I will setup practice heats after entries have cutoff. There will be NO open practice it will be controlled practice tuesday afternoon until 10 pm and wednesday from 8 am till 10 pm. We will run as many rounds of practice heats as we can get in during the practice days. Once I have a total on entries I can set T-times for practice heats and a full event schedule.
Thursday morning before truck qualifying starts will be one hour of practice for any truck racers who have not practiced. Friday morning will be one hour of practice for any buggy racers who have not practiced.

Midwest Alternate Entries

The Midwest has 91 entries of 120 filled from early invitations. Alternate entries are now open. IF you don't get in on one of the open spots you will have a chance to fill open spots from the South and Northeast late next week, the 15th. So there should be plenty of open spots available for the host division but we have to give the other divisions time to get their entries in.

AWARDS BANQUET

If you are entered in the finals you MUST email me if you are coming to the banquet so I know  how many plates will be needed for the banquet. I'll post more details on this later in the week.It will be a brunch style event since it's at noon.

ROCKFORD INFO

I thought I had posted the schedule for the finals in Rockford and after a lot of questions about it I realized I failed to do it. So here's the basic schedule that will be firmed up once entries close for all divisions on November 1st.

Nov. 6th Monday - track build
7th - Tuesday - practice
8th - Wednesday - practice - media day
9th - Thursday - truck qualifying and lower mains
10th - Friday - buggy qualifying and lower mains
11th - Saturday - remaining mains
12th - sunday NOON awards banquet

Practice will be setup in heats and posted after entries close. I will post T times for the practice heats.
Thursday morning will be one hour of practice for racers that have not practiced. The same will apply for Friday morning.

I will be finalizing the advertising for this event this week. We will have ads running in the Rockford area on cable and network TV as well as radio. We're working on several different promotions from a Miss RC Pro contest to a celebrity race.

Entry Concerns and Rumors

I've been informed of some concerns on several forums about racers who have only ran in one race during the year going to the finals and taking points away from racers who are running for the championship. Seems people want the finals even more restricted. That may happen in time but this is not something I'm going to just throw in right now last minute. That would be something that should be announced before a season starts.

I've also been told about several rumors floating around the internet. This happens in all of our series! Plain and simple if you have a question email me about it. If you don't read it on this site or it doesn't come from RC Pro personel it's BS!
