RC Pro Announcements
We're BACK!
Tue Nov 14, 2006 7:55PM
The RC Pro crew is finally all home now it's time for me to get to work.
I want to thank my crew for an outstanding job done with a lot of long hours. Now we can do it again next weekend! LOL Actually only Steve Webster, Mary and myself will be at the Nitro Onroad Finals this coming weekend in Porter Texas.
A special thanks to all the companies involved with the trade show this year - Team Associated, Byron Fuels, RC Dyno Systems, Nomadio, Xtreme RC Magazine, Futaba/Hobbico, RC America, Horizon Hobby/Blue Thunder and Blue Groove RC Concepts, Werks Racing. I hope we can grow this in years to follow.
I'm working on the points and getting the results ready to post. Sorry for running late on this but all day monday was spent traveling and a good portion of today was spent getting some much needed sleep.
Here's a panoramic view of the track.

Here's a video one of the racers sent to Red RC
ROCKFORD DIRECTIONS
Sat Nov 4, 2006 8:43PM
Here's a very fuzzy pic of the south Main St. side of the Metro Centre. Sorry I had to blow it up so you could see it. It should be self explanitory with the arrows and text on it. The main entrance will be closed monday - wednesday so all racers and trade show people need to come to the loading dock door the arrow is pointing to. Mary will be inside to check you in. Please don't come on monday to check in! We will do check in on tuesday morning. all of us will be way to busy setting stuff up to do any check ins on monday. If you do come by on monday expect to get put to work either setting up tables or working on the track. You've been warned... LOL

Rand McNally won't let me link more than one set of directions so here are the addresses for most of the stuff.
The Clock Tower 7801 state st. - Rockford
The Metro Centre 300 Elm st. - Rockford
Cliffbreakers 700 w. Riverside - Rockford for the banquet

NItro Offroad Practice & Main Schedule
Fri Nov 3, 2006 12:45AM
I have a couple of corrections to make to the frequencies on the practice heats. If I goofed on your please email me HERE. I guess I was looking at so much 2.4 mhz stuff I missed a couple regular freq's. So far it's only been 3 I goofed on. I'll make the corrections and repost the list tomorrow night from Rockford. We leave at 6am tomorrow for Rockford.
THE ENTRY LIST HAS BEEN UPDATED GO here. Sorry to the 4 or 5 guys that were missing from the list I think I have everyone sorted out now. Somewhere in my copy and paste from file to file I missed a couple people. Thanks for the emails to let me know. I also have the one or two who decided to post on a forum about it rather than email me to let me know. It's nice to know I have people watching these forums that I don't have time to visit anymore.
Here are the practice times for Tuesday and Wednesday. I'll post the heats tomorrow. Sorry I didn't get it up today but I had way to many phone calls and to get all the stuff put together and shipped for this event which took all day.
You'll notice tuesday practice doesn't officially start until 1 pm. We have time tuesday morning set aside just in case we need to finish up some track stuff. This also gives time to check in and get your info and ID stuff you will need. I'm working on the drawing of the building so I can pin point the shipping door you will need to come to check in. Mary will be inside with your packets on tuesday morning. If you show up on monday to see what we're building you may get put to work.... just a warning. LOL
The practice times are a mix of 7 minute runs and 10 minute runs. I would have preferred all 10 minutes but we have a certain time frame to work with at the arena. I tried to optimize the time we have plus I would rather do more than 5 minute runs so you can check fuel usage etc.
Practice will be in heats and if you miss your heat then you wait for the next round. We have 341 racers that have to practice and jumping into another heat is not allowed.
Why aren't we using the punch card setup like the last 2 years? Because to many people have tried to cheat and get more time than they are supposed to this way we know who is supposed to be on the track at any time.
Click on one of the blocks to get the practice heats and times for that day.
RV Stuff
Thu Nov 2, 2006 1:05PM
The parking are for the RV's and pit trailers is a parking lot that will be cordoned off just for them. There are no sewer hookups or electrical. We do have a septic service that will come out and pump your holding tank but there must be 5 or more before they will come out. It will cost you $25 per vehicle pumped paid in cash to the driver.
I will post something before I leave for Rockford on sunday to show where this parking lot is and what door everyone will have to go to to check in.
