UPDATES AND SUCH!
Sun Jul 23, 2006 1:58PM
I have several updates that need to be posted but to keep from doing all of this twice, once on the old site and then again here, I'm trying to move all of it onto the new site. I will be able to make more of the new site live by the end of the week and hopefully have all of those updates done before I have to start traveling to the races again in August.
Thanks for your patience.

RC Pro Memberships
Thu Jul 13, 2006 11:08AM
|
I've been asked since I took over RC Pro "how do I join?". I have always been against a membership unless it is worth something to the members. In the last 6 months I have talked to various retailers and magazines about offering discounts to members if we did a membership. I've had very good response to this and foresee developing a nice list of companies that will do this. The reason for the interest from these companies is the support RC Pro gets from the racers.
So what do I get for my money? Each member will get a logo sticker sheet for the series you race in, a plastic credit card style membership card and discounts on upcoming RC Pro apparel.
PLUS! I have been working with various companies to get discounts for our members. The list will continue to grow after we introduce the membership. I want the members to get something for thier money. We have several companies listed right now on the membership info page and will be adding more before the week is over. I'm also working with car rental companies and hotels to get special rates for the members.
If you own a business that would like to get involved in this program please contact RC Pro at rcproseries@gmail.com

Permanent Number Assignments
Tue Jan 17, 2006 7:58PM
Check here for all the details.
For 2006 if you finished in the top 10 in the National Standings in any class then RC Pro will supply custom car numbers for you thanks to Max Speed Design. These will be handed at out your 1st Division race in 2005. I need the top 10 in each class to email me with the brand wing they are running so we can have the numbers made in time for the 1st races. The Intermediate class numbers will be 1-10 followed by an (I) to denote Intermediate. Since most of those racers will be bumping up to the expert class in 2006.
Tech Notice
Tue Jan 17, 2006 7:57PM
In the past few weeks it has come to our attention that several exhaust pipes on the market are illegal by the standard rules for 1/10 scale Gas Truck. The stinger inside diameter is to large. The maximum size is 5 mm. This is only a concern if you will be running under RC Pro rules.
This notice is to prevent racers from having problems at a race in the future.
- Adam Drake edition pipe. Not ALL of these pipes have the wrong size stinger only some. Please check the inside diameters to know which pipe you have. If you find you have the oversized one please contact Losi about it.
- The plastic TRAXXAS 1/10 pipe has been found to have an oversized stinger. This may not be all of them on the market. We have only found one at this time so if you are using one on a 1/10 truck please check it to be sure it's legal.
- Dynamite. We have only found one at this time and there was no part number on it to know which one it is. If you are using one please check the ID of the stinger.
No Start Gate
Tue Jan 17, 2006 7:56PM
RC Pro will no longer be using the start gate. This year tempers have been on edge at almost all of the division events and I feel the gate has been the reason for it and the cause of a lot of the rough driving. This does not mean I won't be standing trackside to call penalties for rough driving in the future.

How do I join R/C Pro?
Tue Jan 17, 2006 7:52PM
I've recieved a number of emails asking "How do I join RC Pro?"
Currently RC Pro does not have a membership. One IS coming soon once I have a few more things in place. My main concern is making it worth something for the racers. What I'm putting together is a group of select retailers that will give discounts to all RC Pro members. We also will have a choice of magazines that you can choose from for a one year subscription when you join. Once I have everything in place I'll announce it.
So for now the best way to join RC Pro is email Wayne to register your permanent car number for the class or classes you intend on running. This will be your number as long as you run in RC Pro unless you decide to change it in the future.
Sponsors for 2006
Tue Jan 17, 2006 7:51PM
I would like to thank all of our 2005 sponsors for a great year and I look forward to a better 2006.
I will be changing the sponsor list after the new year to reflect the sponsors that have already signed and returned the 2006 contract. If you have not faxed the contract back please do so ASAP as I am working on the 2006 ads and shirt designs and want to get all the companies listed early. If you have a company that is interested in one of our series for 2006 please email me for details. We have had a very good response for 2006 but there are spots still available in all levels.
Thanks You
Carlton

New Class Definitions
Tue Jan 17, 2006 7:47PM
RC Pro Series is pleased to announce that starting in the 2006 Off-Road season, the classes currently known as Standard Monster Truck and Unlimited Monster Truck will be changing. The new classes will be Monster Truck and 1/8 Arena Truck. Along with the name change, these two classes will be completely separated. Monster Trucks currently able to "run up" in the Unlimited class will no longer have that option. With the release of the Storm Unlimited Truck and the HotBodies Lightning Stadium Pro along with the highly anticipated release of Arena Trucks from Thunder Tiger, Jammin and Mugen, the need for a completely separate class is more important than ever. Converted 1/8 scale buggies, commonly known as "Truggies" will now be known as Arena Trucks as well. There are characteristics inherent to these Arena Trucks that make their relationship to Monster Trucks more different than similar. A series of updated rules for the Arena Truck class will be available soon on this site.
